Using the “water main break” excuse. Closed for the weekend. Calling people with reservations now to let them know they are closed for the weekend due to “water damage”. Tough shit! Yea I’ve heard that hobag Miriam at The Box use plumbing as an excuse too…as she was letting people in and out.
I suggested to her that perhaps she and her staff should put more fiber into their diet, so that they go easy on the sensitive plumbing and sewage infrastructure on Chrystie St.

La Esquina being closed can only be a good thing for NYC. I think the whole secret bars thing is totally played out.
