Reason I Love New York #2,750

[Wholefoods on Bowery Street]

I can go grocery shopping at 10:30 at night and be accompanied by others.

Though the line wasn’t as long as the one above (store opening), there was still a LINE. At 10:30 at night. This would NEVER happen in Omaha and I have to say, I enjoyed waiting in line. Standing next to the other eco friendly (though probably not by choice, but by convenience-Wholefoods is the only grocery store that actually resembles a real “grocery store” aka has actual aisles and carts) shoppers, I was happy to know that 10:30 on a Wednesday night was the only time they could fit in a “maintenance run”, as I like to call them. Mine includes:

-peanut butter
-cereal
-some kind of salad
-Coffee
-Oatmeal
-tuna
-nuts
-eggs
-tomatoes
-avocado
-cheeses
-chocolate something
-grapefruits and apples and banannas if I’m in the mood
-Ice cream
-more peanut butter
-frozen waffles
-Rice Cakes
-mozzarella and basil

That’s all I can think of for now, and, being as this was only the third time I’ve ever actually bought groceries here, seems likely to change anyway….I’m hungry…..

Yeah, I love the constant activity too. But I’d like it more if I could watch the activity from the front of the line.
