Are You A Lady Of Manhattan?

We’re a little bored of trying to conquer the Boys’ Club. Not to mention that sometimes, we’re just plain bored. Which is why we were thrilled to stumble upon Ladies of Manhattan. Founded by Brandi Anderson and Meghan Elliott, LoM promises to bring together the women of Manhattan through various social and professional networking events. And ladies, the parties look promising….

Brandi, formerly an event coordinator at MEGU and currently a freelance event consultant, brings expertise in event planning while Meghan, formerly Manager of Special Events at CBS, brings her marketing and advertising background, making sure our goody bags are brimming with fun stuff in the process.

As if that weren’t enough, LoM promises real networking opportunities, so if you plan on attending an event solo, fear not – there will be an ice breaker. Said ice breaker may be a short game or it may just be Brandi, but rest assured you will meet someone new. Currently, membership is free although we can’t expect anything so good to be free for long. Someone once told us (we think it was our mother – sounds like our mother) that all good things must come to an end.

Free membership or not, we’re lucky that LoM is just getting started. We’re definitely looking forward to the summer kickoff event at Blue Mercury and stay tuned to Guest of a Guest for our interview with Meghan and Brandi. Who knows, it may even be live.
