I should have known that THE GUYS who know about absolutely every event and party on this island would be cutting no corners when it was their turns to play host. Actually, only one of them took on the hosting role as Scott rounded up all of his bffs to help him throw Naeem the ultimate birthday party on the top floor of 601 W. 26th street (the Martha Stewart Building) . It was the best birthday party I had been to this year for sure, possible even longer. Not a big shocker either. What else would you expect when half of your guests are the sort of people that make it their jobs to provide the best parties for everyone ELSE in the city. Take the top night life owners and promoters away from their their club posts, the socialites without PMC around, and the hipsters and models free of agents to impress, and you are in for a room of POWER PLAYERS…

…add in an open bar, and some bday cake and champagne, and we had POWER PLAYERS that were more than ready to PLAY (myself included). Work was the last thing on anyone’s mind, even Scott and Naeem took the night off (which is why you get the less-fabulous version from moi).Besides the hosts that Scott wrangled in, which included power couple Gillian Hearst-Simonds and Christian Simonds, Lyida Hearst, Ally Hilfiger, and Leven Rambin, I enjoyed running into people like David Cabo, Rich Thomas, Lorenzo Martone, Peter Bancanovic, David Gruning, Arianna Gordon, Bennett Leifer, Liz Hull, Ariana Ornelas and boyfriend Derek Fears, Tim Garcia, Kipton Cronkite, Jason Preston, Brad Leinhart, Megan Zilis with her gang including Andrew Parker and Nadeem Barakat, Andrew Dantzig, Carrie Baker, Grace Gomez-Brea, Jessica Bamberger, Joe Freimuth, Justin Shaffir, Cynthia Robinson, Patrick Lally, Peter Coffin, Jackie Marie, Suzanne Marchese, Sparrow, Angela Kim, Sarah Basile, Martin Dawson. Annabel Vartanian with Devorah Rose, Daniela Weber, Micah Jesse, Craig Foos, Keenyah Nicchole Hill….and so many more, the list goes on and on (and on and on).
The space and decor provided courtesy of Kostas Papalexiou and the alcohol provided by pink vodka courtesy of Christy Farias with music provided by DJ was Angelos Styliano.
Antwan and Honor were there of course to document the entire night.
I finished up the night with a brief stop at Goldbar where we chatted with Liam McMullan and Timo Weiland and then shared a cab with the the dapper Michael Bisordi to Rose Bar. There we saw more people (some from Naeem’s party which had been shut down by the cops-the ultimate sign of a success), and others like Paul Johnson-Cauldron, Ted Cleary and Nur Khan of course. It seems like the Saturday nights seem to get better as the weather gets warmer….if this in fact the case, I don’t know if I should be anxious or a little scared of what’s to come….
