I, for one, am loving the time warp back to the “90s. As I stated months ago, the 1990s are making a fierce comeback, and not just in the fashion world…even our billboards are screaming “Bring back the “90s! Bring back the “90s!” Remember Rush Limbaugh? Well, his show only lasted for four years (1992-1996), but has been living on since then behind the relevant billboards above the Toys “R Us store in Times Square. And, apparently the last couple of days, these Limbaugh ads have gotten another chance to shine in the sun.

Thank you to Curbed for pointing us to “90s billboard glory.

On one of my first days as an intern, I wandered to Spring St. away from our lovely office to go grab some lunch. So, I walk into what I assumed to be a sushi restaurant, Rice to Riches, and was surprised to see an entire store full of rice pudding! There were over 20 different flavors! What an obscure dessert to have 20 flavors of, right? I thought, “only in New York.” Long story short, I went back and told my other fellow intern and all she could do was gush about how good it was. So my mission this weekend is to try it out. But really? A store dedicated to rice pudding? I’m still a little skeptic. I guess we’ll see!

I remember when I getting my nails done back in February and everyone around me was getting the same old colors like dark red, black, grey, french etc… which only seemed to match the dreary weather outside. What a gloomy salon! When it came my turn to choose a color I grabbed the brightest color I could see to try and whisk away the shadows of February and bring forward shine of spring. Walking out I loved how they shone through the overcast dim lit day and suddenly my mood improved.

It was another busy night for us. We started the evening by stopping by the BR Concept store, which recently launched their summer collection. Our good friend Aloisio Vilas Boas is a co-owner and he showed us around the store. The store carries Brazillian brands such as Tufi Duek, Rosa Cha and Colcci. (one of my photographers at Artwing, Gui Paganini just shot the campaign with the amazing Giselle!) We sipped champagne as we shopped-very chic.

Though I have not tried them myself or seen them in person, I cannot help being intrigued by the latest subway advertisements for FitFlops, the latest “get a workout while you walk” shoe (and they come in a nice assortment of colors –trust me, I’ve already checked on Macy’s website). I wonder, though, how effective they actually are. I would not call them the most aesthetically pleasing form of footwear, but if they actually are beneficial, then I’d be willing to throw aesthetics out of the window for a nice walk through the park with these new babies.

Tonight Y Gallery in Queens will be holding a reception for Mexican artist Teresa Margolles (born 1963), with her first solo exhibition in New York entitled “OPERATIVO.” Her artwork with SEMEFO (which is short for “Servicio Medico Forense,” forensic medical service for those of us who never paid attention in Spanish class), a group she help to found in 1990 with three other Mexican artists (which initially began as a Death Metal Band and somehow morphed into an artists collective) has attempted to somehow discuss the drug related violence that has plagued their country.

FROM hamptons.guestofaguest.com: I was lucky enough to enjoy laughs with friends and family on Nantucket. Nantucket Island, besides being its usual fabulous self, was celebrating the annual Figawi race, where sailors go from Hyannis to Nantucket. The race was named after a fictional tribe of nomads. It brings the Nantucket red, pinstripe wearing, Ralph modeling men out of the woodwork…More>>

This is the opening line to a classic, passive-aggressive diatribe aimed, no doubt, at some (sorta) unsuspecting soul who accidentally on purpose decided that wet laundry in the washing machine would do better on the linoleum floor than in the spin cycle. The vast majority of us are veterans of shared space living situations from college or sibling-heavy houses. And if not, then as a New York City resident, you’re a seasoned pro at it by now.

25% on Rotten Tomatoes? What went wrong? I thought Children of Huang Shi was actually good, so good that I left the theater satisfied, nearly spilling man-tears along the seats. It is probably one of three movies of all-time I can say I would watch again and enjoy, yet most of the critics are complaining either that the characters are cookie-cutter or that it was sitting backseat to something much bigger (the Japanese invasion, obviously).

World-renown composers and famous contemporary visual artists in one space? What more could one want in an evening? The second night of its US premiere, the visual and audio artists involved in the SHE WOLVES project transform another outdoor river space with the unique sounds and visual effects (it changes depending on the space) to awaken the mythological SHE WOLF.

So, I just read the Dress for Less article in the Thursday Style Section of the Times and I’m glad that I am not alone in terms of my newfound obsession with cheap shopping. Yes, I do love designer, I’m especially not one to scrimp on bags and shoes, but lately my wallet has been feeling light and I seem to suffer from shortness of breath every time I receive that credit card statement in the mail. I’ll let you in on a little secret, but please don’t tell anyone. Sure I peruse Shopbop sale, but on a college budget it’s hard.

Here’s what I’ve been eying:
