McCord Real Housewives New YorkFrom: hamptons.guestofaguest.com:

It was all colors and cotton candy on the polo fields of Bridgehampton this weekend. This past Saturday, the Bridgehampton Polo Grounds was a family place, thanks to shoe boutique Stride Rite and its bevy of face painters, cotton candy machines, games from Space Odyssey USA, and bejeweled, celeb-designed gameboys. On the field, Team Black Watch duked it out against Team Pony Express, while Perrier-Joeut-fueld grown-ups divot-stomped, hobnobbed with ex-reality stars, and preened for photos atop a souped up Mercedes-Benz.

This Friday was the Second Annual Help for Orphans benefit put on by Sarah Ehrlich & Real Housewife Jill Zarin at Nova’s Art Project in Watermill. And from what we heard (and saw) things got a little crazy. This was one of the first events in which all the Housewives were together (Kelly Killoren Bensimon made an appearance), and they are set to prove that they can party. After downing several of Bethenny Frankel"s "Skinny Girls"" cocktails, these ladies were ready to party for the Orphans of Kenya. Their men joined in, making this was one of the first times I"ve seen even the countesses with her hubby in tow.

For the most part, the Hamptons have been what I'd expected, only more so. The prevalence and blatancy of sponsors, however, came as a huge surprise. Sure a Bluestar Jets Field wouldn't garner even one eye roll were it in Vegas, or Atlantic City, but here, in what is supposed to be a bastion of all things Brahmin?

Nearly every event and venue I've been to out here has been heavily sponsored, with the only variation being the degree to which the product/brand is referenced in the event and venue's title. I suppose it doesn't make sense to foot the bill yourself if a company will do it for you, but I can't help feeling that what you've saved financially you've lost in class.

DBTH Down by the hipster[DBTH's New Look]

Down By The Hipster has finally decided it is time to grow up....so, Scott has revamped his entire "look". Whether or not this means he has revamped his attitude, well that's another question, though I'm not sure if that part of him is quite ready to mature.

Doug joined Nick Gregory and I on this weekend's Plum TV segment at SCOPE Hamptons Art Fair. He was on hand to give us the Juice on all things Polo, Super Saturday, Marlene Deitrich, and what the Kennedys were up to...oh he also had the perfect opportunity to call me out on my Target attire...

Topless SandalsFrom: hamptons.guestofaguest.com:

This is just pure wackiness. I would only do this to you on a Friday: introducing the newest craze to sweep the nation hook naive tween girls: Topless Sandals. The fact that something like this exists, let alone comes in different patterns and colors, confirms to me that people have just way, way too much time on their hands. Stupid idea of the week.

I found Randy's Cooking Show to be quite informative.  I wonder if the boys over at the Butcher Blog would approve of this Sausage Donut??

Sure this video is a few months old, but it includes our favorites like Rich Thomas and Jeff Goldstein, oh and that line from Dune/Marquee's door guy Wass Stevens about not trying to get in because we probably won't? Priceless.

rufus albemarleToday's Peter Davis Status Update proves that Bungalow 8 is still alive and kicking it...at least tonight.  It's a big birthday party for Rufus Albemarle! From Papermag:

One of the most stylish (and straight!) dudes in NYC, Rufus Albemarle (the 10th Earl of Albemarle), is moving back to the UK. Society is shedding major tears. Vanessa von Bismark and Nadine Johnson are hosting a private soiree tonight at Bungalow 8 to celebrate Rufus’s birthday and send him off to London with (probably) a major hangover. Come back soon, Rufus!

LOLA SummerFrom: hamptons.guestofaguest.com:

The LOLA treehouse is just ONE piece of the puzzle that is "A LOLA Summertime." James and Emmett are back at it this summer, taking the LES to Southampton as usual, proving that it's not all Lily Pulitzer and PMC events out east.
