Last night saw the last gasp (or last middle finger) of Radar 3.0, as the recently-folded magazine bravely carried on with its previously planned Halloween party-turned media wake. The mag’s latest/last cover model, Shannen Doherty, joined Maer Roshan, Jeb Reed, Neel Shah and the rest of the Radar family as they raged against the dying of the light until the wee hours of the morning. Old and new media showed up to pay their respects, many in Gawker’s suggested costume of “recently laid-off writer/bloggers.”

[Keith Lissner's creation in Elle and on me. Photo by JONATHON ZIEGLER for PMc]
This is the dress I wore last night. The Keith Lissner tulle dress with silk hand embroidered thread was inspired by the Algonquin legend mother nature called “Nakomis” From his Spring ‘08 collection (which was also inspired by mother nature). The dress took over 3,000 hours to create and costs $18,000! I can not believe I got to wear it last night. I was “Mother Nature” of course and prompted more conversation than ever, including Sparrow’s: “That dress is the reason I want to be a girl!” comment. When I say this dress is one of a kind, I mean that there is literally no other dress like it in the world. It has been in several publications, like the one in Elle above, and this other one I found in Ritz Carlton Magazine (Below). More»
Halloween in NYC comes more than once a year. Last night, we lived enough Hallween’s for five years, however, I suppose tonight is the REAL date to celebrate for many. But how to sift through the dozens of invites exploding in your inbox? I’ll highlight some of the more important parties tonight:
- Halloween at Rose Bar: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Last night was just a teaser of the fun that is to be had tonight at Rose Bar in the Gramercy Hotel. Presented by Nur Khan, Scott Lipps and Jessica Hart, Damien at the front is going to make sure that it’s going to be one of the hardest doors of the night. You better be dressed the part.
- Heidi Klum’s Annual Party at 1Oak: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Heidi and her husband Seal have consistently wowed us with their Halloween parties, and costume picks. This will, as always, be one of the hottest costume parties.
- Heroes and Villian’s night by Milk Studios: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Hosted by Mazdack Rassi, Ben Pundole, and our favorite Ben Watts. You know when Mr. Watts is involved, the party will be rocking!
- Amy Saaco’s Halloween at Bungalow 8: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! You can try getting passed Disco, but it will be tough, at the infamous party that Amy throws for her personal friends each year, the names in attendance are consistently big.

Go HERE for photos from this event by JAMIE CHIU and TAG YOURSELF and your friends!!!!!!!
I love a girl that knows how to not take herself too seriously. If you can’t beat them, join them…which is exactly what Lydia Hearst did. The super model dressed up as a tabloid from Page Six magazine for the first half of the night. Part one of her huge Masquerade night started with an intimate pre-party at the Alex and Ani showroom in Tribeca. We were treated with loads of jewelry from Carolyn Rafaelian (of Alex and Ani), who was the most gracious host you could ever ask for (she even helped me get into my fabulous, Keith Lissner couture dress). They also had several MAC makeup artists on hand to do our makeup.

Our favorite 5th Avenue misfit’s blog is having a bit of a fit of its own lately. Emily Brill’s blog is down and seems to be having some technical difficulties. A tipster suggested it might be related to some “heated comments today and yesterday.” We can neither confirm or deny that at the moment.
We have sent an email out to Emily asking for clarification. We’ll keep you updated on all the essentials as they unfold…
Update: Tipsters indicate that Brill’s parents may have pulled the plug. We are working to confirm this. Will continue to post updates as they materialize.

This was the start of Steve Lewis‘ post on BlackBook today, which was part two of an interview he did with the Southside owners (and friends) Anthony Martignetti and James Willis. Then we saw this on Britanny’s site, ChiChi212. Thank you for all of your support! It’s so nice to have friends in the Blogosphere! Now, back to the Southsiders…last year, I spent my Halloween at the old Bellas, and things got pretty crazy. This year, I hoping to stop into Southside to see my favorites dressed in their costumes! As for tonight, I have an amazingly ELABORATE costume that I can’t wait to ROCK OUT, and too many places to go….
