UJA Federation Gets A Sweet Tooth At Cipriani Wall St.

Last night, UJA Federation of New York hosted its signature Generosity event, a party for young, philanthropically inclined Jewish singles. Cipriani Wall St. played hosted to hundreds of single ladies and gents in their 20s and 30s, gathered together for a night of cocktails and dancing. One of the most distinctive features of the event was its spin on the theme “Generosity Is Sweet”, which manifested itself in candy dispensers, make-your-own-sundaes, cotton candy, fondue, cupcakes, and more. If the availability of proverbial eye candy proved a disappointment, the desserts still stretched as far as the eye could see.

If the real hipsters have deserted the Bowery, they’ve left some highly coveted space to fill. While we’ll certainly miss them, we await with bated breath the imminent coming of two of New York’s hottest restauranteurs and their new Bowery joints. Digital DUMBO Hosts Its First Event, Bringing Over 100 Digital Divas And Dudes Together

The first Digital DUMBO event last night was a huge success bringing together over 100 digital divas and dudes of DUMBO to mix and mingle at a packed out ReBar. Much of the conversation revolved around why something like this had never been planned before, business cards being exchanged to work together (this IS the world of new media of course) and why there was a dog in the bar! The goal of the event was to bring together the companies within the neighborhood to meet and greet over a cocktail on this side of the river versus heading into Manhattan for the events where most of this industry’s networking happens.

Winter Antiques Show, Young Collectors’ Night In Photos

The Winter Antiques at The Armory last night was hosted by Kipton Cronkite, William Gilbane III, Emily Israel, Elizabeth Meigher, Hudson Morgan, Tatiana Perkin, & Gillian Hearst. Featuring a silent auction, the proceeds all went to the East Side Settlement House.

Remember the Obama banner that is hanging over the infamous Bull picture at 1Oak? Well, it seem like partiers everywhere are using our new president as inspiration. Check out the DJ’s Decal from last night’s party at B Bar. Apparently, last night, DJs Derek and Jen kept it punk rock up front while in back Mia Moretti and Molly Thompson held down the back room.

Vanessa Noel Hosts Chinese New Year Party Celebrating The Year Of The Ox

While another, more infamous Noel was set to celebrate last night at Doubles, shoe designer Vanessa Noel (not related, luckily for her) hosted a Chinese New Year party at her Upper East Side store to ring in the Year of the Ox. Guests including Andrew Lauren, Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Joyce Varvatos, and Lynn Whitfield, amongst others, sipped cocktails as they were greeted by a traditional festive dragon.

Each month, ZooZoom hosts their famous Fashion Wars party, a great chance to dress yourself up, go out, and meet other design-obsessed New York boys and girls. The premise of the event is to show up in a fabulous, self-designed look, be photographed at the party, then let your outfit be judged on the ZooZoom website, where each month’s lucky winner gets a special fashion spread. January’s party was at Ultra, where revelers did not allow bad weather or a bad economy to dampen their fun.
