It was Australia Day in New York City on Friday night as the American Australian Association and Australian wine company Jacob's Creek hosted a gala honoring the close of Australia Week USA, an event celebrating the best in Australian culture, business, art, and film for the past five years. The gala, held at the Waldorf Astoria, also honored one of our favorite Aussie's, Baz Luhrmann, for his innovative work as a director particularly on his latest film, Australia.

OMFG! Teen Magazine is DUNZO!
Can you believe it? This, along with "Seventeen" were like the BEST thing that happened to me each month as a Jr. High student. WWD Media has just reported that their Winter '08 issue will be their last. "We will continue to publish the annual Teen Prom issue but will focus our teen publishing efforts on the Seventeen brand." Teenmag.com will be absorbed into the Hearst Teen Network of sites.
Sad day in teenville.
This Sunday, Ray-Ban threw their annual Ray-Ban Visionary Award in Utah. This year's award went to actor Ewan McGregor, presented to him by fellow actor and friend Alan Cumming who exclaimed "Ray-Ban is a brand that is classic and edgy and when I think of Ewan I think of exactly the same thing." Guests included Eliza Dushku, Roman Diaz, Ralph Macchio and others.

With all of this inauguration coverage, we almost forgot to check in on our guests that made it out to Park City for the Sundance Film Festival. There was the Sundance Lift, the MySpace Cafe, the Got Milk? Spa, the Stella Artois Cutting Room, and the Tao Lounge that brought out loads of celebrities like: Alan Cumming, Ashton Kutcher, Ashley Judd, Ben Affleck, Ben Lyons, Danielle Fischel, DJ AM, Emma Roberts, Etty Farrell, Jill Hennessy, Kieran Culkin, Leven Rambin, Michelle Trachtenberg, Mark Harmon, Nick Cannon, Paris Hilton, Perry Farrell, Nicky Hilton, Sam Rockwell, Tom Arnold, and Wesley Snipes, just to name a few.

A few familiar faces stepped out in Beverly Hills to celebrate President Obama on his big night at Guy's Nightclub on Tuesday for an Inauguration party thrown by Svedka Vodka. Guests including Aisha Tylor, Brooke Burns, Chris Evans, Lindsay Price, Dave Annable, Eric Balfour, Daisy Fuenes, and Sanaa Lathan mingled with Obama fans and a few scantily clad Fembots. We wonder if any of the night's party goers sipped Svedka's new $700 Billion Martini, their presidential cocktail for our economy on the rocks...Seriously.

It seems that New York's favorite eco-friendly nightclub has followed social snow bunnies to Park City, UT for Sundance! Last night, Greenhouse teamed up with luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially to host the afterparty for the new film Brooklyn's Finest, directed by Antoine Fuqua. Party attendees included Wesley Snipes, Jas Anderson, Brandon T. Jackson, Spike Lee, Michele Fuhrer, Kevin Bacon, and Kyra Sedgwick. The festival continues until the 25th, and we can't wait for our friends to return to the city and give us the full report.
