The stars of the highly anticipated indie flick American Violet reunited on the red carpet Monday night for the premiere held at the Pacific Design Center's Silver Screen Theater in Los Angeles. The film's star, Nicole Beharie headed over to the West Coast from New York City where she refined her talents at Julliard before making only her second appearance on the big screen where she has been wowing critics with her American Violet performance. The literary crowd, including the infamous James Frey and Glenn O'Brien, flocked to the  Strand Book  Store last night to celebrate pop artist Jeff Koons' newest projects - books. Versailles and the aptly titled Celebration document Koons' popular overseas exhibitions, which include his October 2008 exhibition at Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie. Koon's past and present pieces of artwork cover a wide range of topics such as celebrity, race and gender, commerce, media, sex, and fame.

Cinephiles and art lovers came together at the Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills on Saturday, April 11th, to celebrate the opening of "Rear Projection", an exhibition of new photographs and sculptures by John Waters. In attendance were former leading ladies Ricki Lake and Tracy Lords (of Hairspray and Cry-Baby, respectively), Paul Reubens, and Johnny Knoxville.

New York publicist, Peggy Siegel, held a private screening for HBO's latest production, Grey Gardens, at Goose Creek in East Hampton this past weekend, attracting the likes of actor Jay McInerney, media mogul Martha Stewart, and supermodel Christie Brinkley. The movie which stars Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore as "Big" and "Little" Edie Beale, Jackie O's reclusive aunt and cousin is based on the 1975 documentary, and will premiere on April 18.
