The Scott Parks Organization presented Iggy Pop Mick Rock Rockumentary, Raw Power Redux in support of the Urban Zen Foundation at Le Poisson Rouge on Thursday night. Guests including Lindsey Calla, Kris LeBoutillier, Lauri Gwen Shapiro, and Ulrich A Sterling were treated to a performance by Michael H. and the Joan Jett Band while legendary photographer Mick Rock manned the front row snapping pics with his digital. The film documents “The Man Who Shot the Seventies” with the Godfather of Punk, Iggy Pop performing a series of photo shoots in Miami, FL during the 1970s. More story and photos below… More»

Gawker held their second big rooftop party in the drizzling rain, a perfect dark and stormy atmosphere for their “Blood Copy” party; a viral marketing site for HBO’s True Blood that managed to get Nick Denton’s crew into some hot water for the blurring of advertising and editorial boundaries.But no journalistic fangs were bared last night, in fact, we hardly saw any journos at all! It was a true A-Lister event last night for “Burberry Day” held at The Palace Hotel. Complete with a red carpet, celebrities and style forerunners came out to celebrate the company’s new NYC headquarters. The highlight of the night was to be the lighting of the new (and huge) Burberry sign guests could view across from the party, but the real excitement came in the form of the attendees - including Orlando Bloom, Claire Danes, Kate Lanphear, Lily Donaldson, Molly Sims, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Alexa Chung, Derek Blasberg, Justin Long, and, well you get the picture… More»

Last night I attended the St. Jude’s Chocolat au Vin Event at Capitale. My date was Grace Gomez Brea. The event was hosted by Kristin Davis and featured a performance by legend Tony Bennett. With the plethora of cool projects in the works, Aliquot Films had much to celebrate at last night’s investors party hosted by Founder Jay Kubassek at the IMI Club. The independent film fund and production company will begin shooting “Meskada” on June 8th - the film will be the second feature in production for the NYC-based Aliquot Films. More»
