Last night, The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Group held a benefit honoring LEAF (Leaders in Environmental Action for the Future) at the Angel Orensanz Foundation. The event featured sustainable plates prepared by Jonathan Waxman, Jimmy Bradley, Joey Campanaro, and Jason Giagrande, as well as a silent auction and live music by Jonathan Batiste and DJ SPOOKY.
Nearly 300 guests attended to show their support for the cause. All donations raised by the event will go to LEAF, which aims to empower the next generation of environmentalists with the funds necessary to take action against the critical environmental issues of our time. LEAF also offers urban high school students paid summer internships at Conservancy preserves nationwide.
