According to The Atlantic (AND Leandra Medine), 25 is the new 21. Well, having turned 25 today, I can officially say that a) the Atlantic is wrong and b) navigating life in your mid 20s is NOT easy. Before I pretend to have a total identity meltdown, I decided to go through a quick checklist to see if I was actually experiencing a quarter life crisis in NYC. Turns out - I am. If you're in the same boat, don't be alarmed, every mid-twenty-something New Yorker (besides Taylor Swift) is right here with you. The stars shone bright in Hollywood last night, where the 2014 amfAR Inspiration Gala was held in honor of the iconic designer, Tom Ford. While Rihanna and Miley Cyrus battled it out to see whose skin could win on the red carpet, both pop princesses worked their risqué ensembles flawlessly. Justin Timberlake had plenty of fun hanging alongside RiRi, just hours after rumors started about a baby on the way with wife Jessica Biel. Though we didn't spot her at the event, another couple sure caught our attention. Looking elegant in a fitted black suit, Gwyneth Paltrow took a place on stage to introduce a special performance by none other than her ex, Chris Martin. But awkward it was not, as she called him the "Father of the Year" and seemed to be in good spirits. Want an inside look at the major event? Click through for more photos!

Alabama-born Brian Francis is the Founder and Creative Director at Red's Outfitters, a line who's main focus is on sunglasses but also includes hats and shirts. As an original sunglasses brand, the collection is meant to speak to the founders' "American heritage while maintaining Italian, artisanal craftsmanship." According to their site, Red's Outfitters honors one of the original co-founders, who died in a tragic drowning accident, naming the brand after his dog, Red. In addition, "A portion of all [their] profits go to a foundation started in honor of our lost loved one called Shallow Water Blackout Prevention," explains the company. Brian Francis showed up to set sporting an awesome pair of Red's sunglasses, reminding us that "the future is bright," a motto to which he lives by. For more reasons to know Brian, continue reading!
