1. Performa 11 Opening Night Benefit

As part of Opening Night of Performa 11, which has become legendary as one of the most anticipated events on New York’s winter cultural calendar, guests will enjoy the US premiere of Elmgreen & Dragset’s Performa Commission Happy Days in the Art World, a darkly comic self-portrait of the two artists, drawing references from Samuel Beckett’s play Happy Days (1961) and will feature renowned actors Joseph Fiennes and Charles Edwards as well as actress Kim Criswell, and is directed by Toby Frow. Following the performance at 9 pm, guests will be treated to the first-ever live retrospective of six major performance works by the artists, presented at Skylight Soho.
