Brooklyn-based illustrator Adria Mercuri’s work revels in the exquisitely telling details of a face – the arch of a brow, the plumpness of a pout, the texture of an undercut, the wistfulness of a gaze. Mercuri has etched delicate likenesses of icons from Etta to Eleven, Lindsay to Louie; her work, which can be spotted in publications such as New York Magazine, is a wool sweater – not without prickles, but welcomingly warm.
