God I love the Olympics.  Finally there is something good to watch on daytime television!  I realize many of you may not have such a non traditional work day as myself so let me tell you what has kept me on the verge of my seat the past hour:

Women's Water Polo.  I couldn't stop wondering how a girl gets started in this business.  Why wasn't this an option for me growing up.  I would have gladly traded the ballet and tap lessons for some water polo.

Did you know that women's water polo wasn't a sport in the games until 2000!  The men were playing the sport in the Olympics centuries before us.  I think it's funny that a game that started out as a way to pass the time at local watering holes became an Olympic sport.  Oh and the athletes?  They aren't so hard on the eyes either.  See photo above by Joe McNally.  In case you're wondering, in between the Today show and Martha Stewart, the U.S. women's water polo team crushed China 12-11.
