"Is this spat between you guys for realz" asks fellow friend blogger Cajun Boy.
Hmmmm....how to answer that. Well I mean being called an idiot over and over by annonymous commenters Scott Solish certaintly FELT real...Being told to go back to Omaha and stop trying to "make it" out here (oh how I would love to be home some days) FELT real...(ps where are you from again Scott?), and the incessant stealing of my posts only to backdate his timestamps, the mudslinging and photoshopped images of me...blah blah blah, were, last time I checked, all "REAL".
To get caught up on the drama go HERE or here
I know that I have always welcomed Scott as my friend (naively so), and continue to wish him all the success he deserves. I am also thankful for my true friends for their support. Encouraging them NOT to go comment on anything posted about me, as it just adds fuel to a fire that should have never been set, it's nice to know that they are there in REAL LIFE, and not just as made up aliases.
I don't claim to know everything (or anything) about NY nightlife, nor do I want to. I rely on the real life superstars for that. People like Jamie Mulholland, Steve Kasuba, Steve Lewis, Martignetti Brothers, Rich Thomas and the lovely Tamie Peters Thomas, Mark Baker, Nur Khan, Noah Tepperburg, etc etc etc. Oh and special thanks to Stanley Stuvyesant (who does exist if you look at the location of his IP address which is completely different from my own) for calling a point of order to the mayhem yesterday. When I get things wrong, they are the ones that kindly correct me, not Scott Solish, who continues to make things up for hits without going straight to the sources. Stephanie Wei sums up the silliness in her email to me (around 3:00 am, Steph; you are a workaholic get some SLEEP!):
"PS - love the blog war that you've got going on. it's like high school rivalries. our quarterback is better than your quarterback. your team plays dirty; we play clean. etc etc. hahahahadude you are legit, you back up your shit, yeehaw!" -Stephanie Wei
Something tells me that Scott's highschool experience wasn't as "clean" and enjoyable as my own in Nebraska.

Plovgh, the new online farmers market
Who knew that the farming world had a trend? Well, Mallory Sustick, a Brooklyn bartender, works like a dog to maintain, promote and advance the online farmer's market startup Plovgh that began after noticing a need for more local farm market distribution.

As a native New Yorker, I see nothing wrong with coming to the city from somewhere else. That's how New York came to be the best city in the world! As New Yorkers we all need to get off our high horses. Also, what a lot of people don't know is that a lot of very important and talented people came from Omaha, Nebraska: Conor Oberst from Bright Eyes, Malcom X, Marlon Brando, Gerald Ford... I mean we got pigeons and rats the size of cats, I guess Nebraska could never beat that! Can't we all just get along?

People are so feisty these days on this blog. I kinda love it, even though my own pretty little blog got caught in the crossfire :-o
