The Culinary Oracle: Knife & Fork Debuts

Our former contributor, Maddy Madison, has started a website that is sure to keep Leventhal on his feet over at Eater.com:

It’s Thursday night, you’re hankering for a reliably delicious dinner but want to show your out of town guests something more exotic than the inside of Ray’s Pizzeria.  Now you have a solution.  With its insightful, acerbic observations, a new website called New York Knife and Fork is taking an enclave of New York City by storm, one restaurant at a time.  Bringing their equal opportunity taste buds and an adventurous spirit, the folks at New York Knife and Fork have only one mission: to bring you the city’s best eats, preferrably on the cheap.  A sampling: Burgers that resemble buffalo dung patties, chipotle mayo that will require a methadone prescription to quit, and mobs of 1980’s pre-teen girls in a fit of Nerds-fueled rage. New York Knife and Fork covers all the bases and is a great resource for those of us who want creative cuisine without the work.

yeah, it’s not up to Eater.com level yet but that why they called it a “debut” i think. there’s good stuff on there and they could be something to contend with in the future. i’ll follow them - nice work!

Wow, the writing on this site is really funny and entertaining. As an astoria resident, I think the reviews are pretty dead on too. Perhaps they could be shortened a bit though… I’ll agree with that.
