Milk Money, a literary magazine, hosted a great after-party. Mark Hunter was in attendance doing what he does best; capturing the night with his camera for his photoblog, The Cobra Snake. The Cobra Snake has been the definition of “scene” since Mark Hunter started the busy little blog in January of 2004. Since then, it’s grown to weekly updates of what’s hot and new at Hollywood parties, as well as a few shindigs in the world of higher fashion. So although it may seem odd to choose an already established model as our choice for a Daily Style Phile. since we tend to bring you emerging and upcoming names, there is solid reasoning behind choosing model and surf-fan Erin Wasson. While most people in the fashion industry are eager for any form of publicity they can scrounge up, this certainly does not ring true for Britt Aboutaleb, the associate editor for Fashionista.com, the style website with the cult-like following. When a picture of the 24 year-old popped up on Altamira only months ago, the responses, while all positive, were ones of “Oh, that’s what she looks like!”. And her PMc count remains at a low 5 pictures, despite the countless events she attends every week for her high profile job. So why does the adorable young editor shroud herself in an air of mystery? It’s certainly not due to a lack of style. Nor a lack of shyness - Fashionista.com is known for their “Life With” feature, an interview section of their site that takes an in-depth look at professionals and individuals involved in the fashion industry, with each lengthy one-on-one usually conducted by Britt. [Picture via Du Jour] If you, like I, were as utterly infatuated with the article in Vanity Fair’s June issue entitled ‘Fortunte’s Children’, to the degree where I wanted to plaster it on my walls like an adolescent teen might with a Jonas Brothers spread, than I’m sure you caught sight of the long haired, wide eyed, Josephine de la Baume. Sprinkled amongst the Santo Domingos, Missonis, and royalty, the daughter of the Baron and Baronne de la Baume was featured with her younger brother, Alexandre. While the 24 year-old actress hasn’t made major headway yet on the big screen for herself, she’s already a big name in the jet-set crowd. This, with her noteworthy style, her new well-known British boyfriend, and her family name, and the stir she’s starting to create is only bound to get bigger. More »

Way more exciting to me than them briefing Nan Kempner, was them ending on Jen Brill. Jen Brill! Other people are as fascinated with Jen Brill as I am? But of course they are - The Chinese and Australian fiance of Terry Richardson has more style in a toss of her long, dark hair than most professionally dressed models combined. More »

We understand some people just don’t keep up on internet sites and blogs the way we do, and as long as you stay up to date on ours, we really don’t mind. But if you are a fan of fashion blogs, we have a feeling you’ve at least been on “Sea of Shoes” once or twice, or have bookmarked that sucker. Afterall, once you stumble upon the likes of 17 year-old Jane Aldridge’s wonder blog, Sea of Shoes, documenting everything from her day to day activities, purchases and most importantly, her wardrobe and SHOES, there is no turning back. Alice Dellal first came to our attention thanks to her significant other: Pierre Casiraghi, who is third in line for the throne of Monaco -not to mention, the grandson of Grace Kelly. (Random fact: Alice’s brother, Alex, is dating Pierre’s sister, Charlotte). We’re slightly embarrassed that this is the first thing we noticed the British beauty for, considering her modeling career, jet-set group of friends, and eclectic style. Not to mention, the controversial party girl is also to inherit a chunk of her grandfather’s 800 million fortune (in pounds, no less). Looks like real estate (and gambling) is the way to go. Especially if it helps get you some of the duds Alice wears. More »
Every year, hundreds of hopefuls enroll at the prestigious New School Parson’s School of Design determined to make it as the next Donna Karan or Marc Jacobs. You see them scurrying around the city, with their heavy tomes of fashion knowledge in hand, all channeling one fashion icon or the other and lurking in and out of the tents during Fashion Week. Out of all these hardcore, starry-eyed fashion mavens, it’s hard to pick out individual faces among the sea of aspiring designers. None have quite the flair or individuality of Parson’s junior, Megan Marie Dodge. More »
Ah, another magazine figure. There’s Anna Wintour, there’s Nina Garcia, there’s Anne Slowey, there is even the unusual Katie Price who is always keeping us on our toes. But there is no one like Kate Lanphear, or anyone who quite has style like hers. For those of you who are familiar with the platnium blond style director of US Elle, you may know she already has a cult following in the fashion community. More »
[Photos via Getty] The Royal Windsor Horse Show is in it’s 4th day in Englan, and apparently Queen Elizabeth II is a big fan. She attended the show yesterday in this get up. Thoughts? Personally, I’m getting some inspiration for my next polo match. Alas, the Queen is in her 80s, can you believe it? Precisely the reason she is today’s Daily Style Phile. Because when you get an entire Getty album dedicated to you at that age, you deserve to be profiled. More photos below… More »
