Last night at Slate, Daniel Radcliffe raised a glass (and a ping pong paddle!) with cast and crew in celebration of the end of shooting for Kill Your Darlings, a literary crime caper involving Beat poets Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, and Allen Ginsberg. Although Mr. Radcliffe was a little press shy, we talked to co-stars Michael C. Hall, Ben Foster, Dane DeHaan, and Sara Hollis in between serves and asked: who is your favorite writer? Perfect timing considering today is World Book Day!

Last night, the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA kicked off Transmission L.A., a 17-day audio/visual arts festival curated by Beastie Boy and cultural icon Michael "Mike D" Diamond. While the event was packed beyond capacity almost immediately, those lucky (or early) enough to get in were treated to a full-spectrum sensory overload of immersive audio/visual art installations, food, live music, and style. We hit up Instagram to collect the best snapshots from this crazy party and give you a little taste of what the next 16 days will have in store. More»

Last night fashionable New Yorkers welcomed Fivestory, Claire Distenfeld's multilevel luxury concept store, to town. Located in a townhouse that carries a selection of international designers that have never been sold in the U.S. before, the store has received a fair amount of hype in the past couple of months, even being compared to the Parisian store Colette. After guests sipped cocktails and checked out the new space to shop, they headed over to Mr. Chow's for more celebratory drinks and dancing. Click through to see the photos! [All photos via BFA]

Last night, Marc Jacobs sponsored the Art Production Fund's Urban Hoedown at 33 West street. Founded in 2000, the Art Production Fund is a non-profit organization that helps artists produce pieces that would be difficult to create alone, while also raising awareness for contemporary art. With a complete set of line dancers, a mechanical bull, and a performance by Ryan Bingham, the event also honored artists such as Kiki Smith, Mark Fletcher, and Tobias Meyer. More»

On Sunday, Zacara met Coca Cola in the quarter finals of the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Palm Beach. The guests enjoyed the exciting match between the two teams on a bright sunny April day with good food and champagne - the only real way to watch a polo game anyways. More»

Gucci Mane, Tyler The Creator [by Rony Alwin via]

Last night's launch event for skate/streetwear brand The Hundreds' collaboration with G-Shock at the Belasco Theatre downtown unfolded as a scenario that could probably only happen here in L.A. One in which crazed Odd Future frontman Tyler the Creator, famous as much for making scenes with his radical behavior as he is for his music, was escorted off stage after making a surprise appearance during a Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy performance. Just when we were feeling a bit stale and uninspired after coming down from our action-packed Grammy week party high, Friday's Marni for H&M collection launch event renewed our spark with a fantastically sophisticated, swanky party hosted by the two brands' HBICs and Sofia Coppola. The night's many highlights included a first up-close look at the designer one-off donned by an array of stylish starlets as well as a pretty major epiphany courtesy of Marni that there is such a thing as an acceptable pairing of socks and sandals in fashion, as showcased before our very eyes by Drew Barrymore, Rashida Jones, and personal favorite Lykke Li. Please bear in mind this does not mean you can wear socks with your Tevas. That will never be okay. More»
