Last night in Cannes, Kanye West held the premier of his first film, a 30-minute short called Cruel Summer. For the premiere, the film was played across seven 20-foot screens at the Palm Beach, and an after-party followed the screening. Last night, The Museum of Modern Art hosted the 2012 Party in the Garden. The event began with Red Carpet Arrivals at 7pm, and culminated with a performance by Santigold at the after party. Last night, the fashion event of the year, otherwise known as the annual Costume Institute Gala, had everything from a live performance by Bruno Mars at Metropolitan Museum of Art's Temple of Dendur, to a bevy of fashionable hosts such as Carey Mulligan, Anna Wintour, and Miuccia Prada, to a new exhibition titled "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations," and, of course, a guest list filled to the brim with fashion industry notables, models, and celebrities. If you don't love Swedish electro-pop band Little Dragon, you are not human --  and the that line snaked for about three blocks outside of Le Baron yesterday at 7 p.m. (an early start for a nightclub known for playing host to a bevy of partying Parisians) proves that is the case. For those lucky enough to make it in through the tight door, and then again through the extremely tight crowd packed like sardines on the middle floor of the club, Little Dragon played a hell of a show. "Ritual Union," check. "Please Turn," check. "Shuffle A Dream," check. They even played a surprise cover of the 1984 pop hit "Here Comes The Rain Again" by the British duo Eurythmics.
