Karl Lagerfeld is known for producing over-the-top fashion shows, and it seemed unlikely that he could ever top his Fall/Winter 2010 show in Paris, during which models strutted down a runway made entirely of ice. But the eccentric Chanel designer has surprised us once again, this time bringing his 2013 Cruise Collection to the birthplace of opulence, Versailles.

The collection, which featured ruffled tulle sleeves and gold platform sneakers, put a modern twist on the chateau's royal past. More»
