[Kelly Killoren Bensimon (L) vs. Jill Zarin (R)] It was a battle to end all battles. At least for this season on the Real Housewives of NYC. Kelly BensimonJill Zarin. versus Who would throw the better Halloween Bash? The costumes! The fake hair! The Reality TV Scandals. Who came out on top? Do any of you care?
A group of touchy-feely men dressed like Elvis, culturally offensive costumes, drunken making out, barely dressed women…come on, are you really surprised that the Halloween Party thrown by Jagermeister would turn out to be the wildest of the weekend?
[Charlotte Muhl and Sean Lennon play dress up] Ever have one of those moments when you look around and you realize everyone in the room has a famous mom or dad? And you’re just that girl wearing scraps of fur and leather, in an outfit that resembles an extras costume from “Where The Wild Things Are” (and not necessarily in a good way)? No? Well, that’s pretty much what happened at Sean Lennon’s Halloween Party this past Saturday, where everyone was celebrating his release of his score “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead.” More »
Well, we all know what Seal And Heidi Klum dressed up as for Halloween. But what about the more low-key celebrities, who chose to spend the holiday taking their favorite kids and paparazzi out trick-or-treating? Read on to find out how Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Kate Beckinsale, Allyson Hannigan, and Brooke Shields spent their weekend. More »
[Toy Soldiers: a classic done right.] Normally, Halloween is a chance to dress up in a goofy costume you bought on the way to the party. Occasionally, your friends will give you a hearty guffaw because you pulled out the big guns and made an amazing costume, but most of the time, your efforts, and failures, are largely left quiet. Well, no longer. We now present a series of awards and critiques of some of the costumes we saw this Halloween. More »
Lucky Penn Badgley, he gets to celebrate Halloween AND his birthday at the same time! Saturday night, Svedka Vodka presented the second event in their Adult Playground 2033 Series at 1 OAK. Blake Lively was sleek and stunning in her flight attendant costume and Michelle Trachtenbergdeserved at least a double take in her elaborate Marie Antoinette ensemble.
The (temporarily homeless) Jane Hotel threw a costume party with Smile at The NoMad Hotel on 28th street. Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Ronson, Lazaro Hernandez,Carol Han, and Derek Blasberg all attended. What the celebrities lacked in costume creativity (Kiki as….Ellie Mae Clampett or something? And Charlotte was a cat.), the guests made up for with varying degrees of funny, skimpy, and scary costumes. It’s nice to see that die-hard Jane fans are making do with what they can until things get sorted out in the West Village… More »

Friday night, Yoni Goldberg of dGi Management got a head start on the Halloween fun by throwing a human fuel-filled costume bash at the Red Bull Loft Space in SoHo. Guests, included Mischa Barton,Brandon Davis, DJ Cassidy, DJ Berrie, and a surprise performance by the highest grossing female rap group/duo of all time, the sensational Salt ‘n’ Pepa. (We’re serious, of all time — we looked it up.) More »
[Andrew Bevan is Bee Shaffer's #1 Dalmation] Last Friday, we broke the news that Anna Wintour’s daughter, the beautifully fashionable Bee Shaffer would be taking a “regular” plebian job as assistant to College Humor’sRicky Van Veen. This Saturday, it seems like the socialite has continued on with her quest to become a normal young New Yorker by slumming it up in the basement of the Bowery Electric at Andrew Bevan’s (our top 10 hottest bachelor of NYC) Halloween Party.
Stephanie and Jesse Newhouse’s apartment at 720 Park looked more like a movie set than an NYC apartment for their Halloween party, and the majority of the guests (including Simon van Kempen and Alex McCord) were so decked out for Halloween, it’s hard to imagine they got dressed without the aid of Hollywood costumers. [Photos by DAVID CROTTY forPMc]. After last year’s controversial, and what looked like very restricting, depiction of the Hindu goddess Kati (below), one might predict Heidi Klum would tone down her choice of Halloween costume. Nope. The supermodel and her hubby Seal dressed as crows for their annual All Hallow’s Eve extravaganza. At West Hollywood’s Voyeur, the event highlight for us was the contrast of creativity with a total lack thereof. For example, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt dressed as the tooth fairy and a tooth, while Rachel Zoe and Steve Bing were a billionaire and a stylist. What a coincidence.
