The (temporarily homeless) Jane Hotel threw a costume party with Smile at The NoMad Hotel on 28th street. Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Ronson, Lazaro Hernandez, Carol Han, and Derek Blasberg all attended. What the celebrities lacked in costume creativity (Kiki as….Ellie Mae Clampett or something? And Charlotte was a cat.), the guests made up for with varying degrees of funny, skimpy, and scary costumes. After last year’s controversial, and what looked like very restricting, depiction of the Hindu goddess Kati (below), one might predict Heidi Klum would tone down her choice of Halloween costume. Nope. The supermodel and her hubby Seal dressed as crows for their annual All Hallow’s Eve extravaganza. At West Hollywood’s Voyeur, the event highlight for us was the contrast of creativity with a total lack thereof. For example, Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt dressed as the tooth fairy and a tooth, while Rachel Zoe and Steve Bing were a billionaire and a stylist. What a coincidence.
