Mary Rambin’s Replacement: Krystal Kahler?
Guiding Light may have been canceled after approximately 100 years, but no worries, if you’re craving some soap-opera drama you can always count on the girls over at NonSociety to dish it up for free…and you don’t even have to skip work to catch the fun. Only weeks after the day the earth stood still (aka the departure of Mary Rambin), it looks like Julia “Big Tweets” Allison has already found her replacement. Krystal Kahler was Julia’s first roommate in NYC (cute). Word isn’t out yet on whether or not she will be taking over the “Style Blogger” role at NonSociety, or if she will join the traveling circus at all, but we can’t imagine her bosses over at Advent Capital Management would care right? Julia “Big Tweets” Allison Tweets Meghan Asha Back Into Her Fold…But What About Mary?
The rumormill in Twitterville has been churning as of late, with rumors of a departure. Last night it appeared that Meghan Asha was going to jettison the nonsociety.com fameball yoke (for greener pastures?). Alas, Julia “Big Tweets” Allison managed to dispel this by spelling Meghan’s name right and divulging their joint travel plans to SXSW.
But what about Mary? There seems to be something about Mary…At least if you look at the gofg peanut gallery. Commenters are long on Asha and short on Rambin. If you are selling “hand bag” Rambin short, you might be making a small fortune at the moment. Let’s examine the evidence:

The Julia Allison Diet
As is customary with New Year’s Eve, I made a pledge to diet this year. I chose this year to limit my Julia Allison intake. I have a firm belief that one’s mind has only a finite space of room, and, therefore, one must choose wisely with respect to the information they let in, or rather put in, lest their mind get bloated and keep out more meaningful data (like Emily Brill’s latest blog entry).
In so many ways, I believed that the start of my “Julia Allison Diet” would find me a more leveled, sagacious individual. As I had my first downfall (applying makeup for dinner) last night, I realized that this diet was going to be a lot harder than I anticipated.
My Julia Allison Diet:
- No Makeup. That’s right, it’s time to give those pores a break. JA never leaves the house without her makeup and so, with this diet, you are required to go without it. Thankfully, tucked away in a Caribbean Island for several days aided with this one, as does my job’s casual nature.
- Must get CES information outside of NonSociety.

Happy Holidays! From Nonsociety, Brill Still MIA
Happy Holidays! From Julia, Meghan, and Mary over at Nonsociety. You’ve got to hand it to these three, they look pretty darn festive. And, staring at all of their holiday posts make me wonder where the heck Emily “The Eldridge” Brill has been these days.
She’s all but dropped off the face of the planet inter web. If I didn’t know any better, I would say that she is out of the city at the homestead spending quality time with her family, though seeing as I have seen her out and about numerous times over the last couple of weeks, I know that this isn’t the case.
