Last night, dater of the stars and one-time Playboy centerfold model Bebe Buell celebrated the release of her single “Air Kisses For The Masses” (from her forthcoming album Musesque) at the beautiful Maritime Hotel’s Hiro Ballroom. Accompanying the evenings festivities was New York’s favorite scenester, Liam McMullan, who graced the stage with his fiancee Aesha Waks for a heartwarming acoustic performance. Despite the notoriously fickle nature of spotlit romance, Liam and Aesha are still going strong. Also in attendance was actress Liv Tyler, Buell’s daughter. I think we all know who the father is. Yesterday, we broke the exclusive story on Liam McMullan’s (son of photographer Patrick McMullan) engagement to Aesha Waks, the aspiring actress and singer? from Rockaway beach. Today, we get more from J.T. White’s photo’s from our Yacht Rock Party. A photo of the happy couple proudly displaying their his and her tattoos right next to their (very earthy looking) armpits. The story made today’s NY Post Page Six where Father Patrick is quoted “He hasn’t known her long, but I’m open-minded about it. I’m not happy about the tattoo, though; it makes me crazy. I told him they should just get a spiritual marriage, instead of a legal one.”

Liam McMullan, 21 year-old son of NYC social photog Patrick McMullan, is a man of many surprises, but this one beats out even his spur of the moment sky diving adventure last summer. No, this is not a PR stunt, and it’s not a punk. Liam McMullan is engaged, and he wants the world to know. “WHAT!?” “Did I hear you correctly?” I asked the man-of-the-minute last night. “Yep. I’m in love. I found my soul-mate.”

Meet 35 year-old Aesha Waks.

Who is Aesha? Well she is an aspiring actress who hails from from Rockaway Beach.  You know that place during high school where all the city kids went on the train to go get “stuff”. The two met (gulp) last month through mutual friends.

On Tuesday night, in Jolie-Thorton fashion they got each other’s names tattooed on their biceps - and didn’t take their eyes off each other once last night. They were more than happy to share their story with me.  Aesha’s father was present with the happy couple last night at our YACHT ROCK party and seemed content with the arrangement. Trips off the tongue, doesn’t it?  Last night Liam McMullan and Lawrence Rassin showed more than cleverness with event titles, they showed off their cleverness with fashion, and in Liam’s case, funk, while introducing their respective fashion lines, as part of a Dean’s Dialogue program at FIT’s School of Art and Design. Raissin showed off his collection for fall, and also sat down with Erika Dalya Muhammad for a Q&A with a packed auditorium of the fashion-obsessed.  More»

Liam McMullan was quite the busy bee last Friday night.  Besides being the official music provider at his dad’s Holiday party at Plumm, he helped Izzy Gold Records host the Pink Elephant Annual Toy Drive (with musical performance by his own Purple Foam, DJ Marco Peruzzi, DJ Todd Mallis, and DJ Paolo).  How does this kid, who also has a show on Downtown TV, and a column in Page Six, manage to find time for himself?  Liam we love you, but we think you need to slow down!

Last Friday, Liam McMullan, Ari Cohen (our newest GofG member), and I headed to the Manhattan Fencing Center for my very first Fencing lesson from the best our country has to offer. It was quite the experience. Tim and Jason, the newest hot socials taking our city by storm are going to be inspiring the children at Boystown on Wednesday and are hosting a New Year’s Party called “Open ‘09 With Olympians!”. On Friday, Jason and I hosted our second “Night of Fencing with Olympians” at our club the Manhattan Fencing Center. In attendance was Ben Bailey (host of the highly successful “Cash Cab” on Discovery), Liam McMullan (the newest young-man-about-town who is set to take over Lydia Hearst’s Page 6 gossip column at the NY Post), and Nicole Sawyer (producer of the Fox Business Show “Happy Hour”). Also joining us were our old friends from Teach For America and several members of the NYC media including GuestofGuest.com founder Rachelle Hruska and writer Ari Cohen.

Liam McMullan is finally legal!  This cutie pie celebrated his 21st birthday with loads of friends at Suzie Wong’s on Friday night.  The after party continued on at the top of the Chelsea Hotel rooftop of Sam Bassett.  This photo above was our favorite.  The look on Liam’s face says it all: “Yeah dad, life is good!”

Today Liam McMullan turns 21! Happy Birthday, Liam! BUT, where will he be ringing in this special day? We recently scoped out the venue with the birthday boy. Rumor has it that Liam will be expecting up to 400 guests to help him blow out 21 candles and take down 21 shots. There will even be a special VIP room for 50 of his nearest and dearest.
