“I urge all my loyal readers to vote for Barack for President and Guest of a Guest for best blog”
This was the start of Steve Lewis‘ post on BlackBook today, which was part two of an interview he did with the Southside owners (and friends) Anthony Martignetti and James Willis. Then we saw this on Britanny’s site, ChiChi212. Thank you for all of your support! It’s so nice to have friends in the Blogosphere! Now, back to the Southsiders…last year, I spent my Halloween at the old Bellas, and things got pretty crazy. This year, I hoping to stop into Southside to see my favorites dressed in their costumes! As for tonight, I have an amazingly ELABORATE costume that I can’t wait to ROCK OUT, and too many places to go….
Have to squeeze into your costume but still want to splurge on Halloween treats? It looks like you’ll be okay as long as you stick to a few snack sized packages. Tracie Johanson, founder of Pick Up The Pace, provides this great list of nutritional content for some of our favorite holiday treats:
Twizzlers 1 treat size pkg.= 45 calories
Almond Joy 1 snack size bar = 90 calories
Milk Duds 1 treat size box = 40 calories
Butterfinger 1 snack size bar = 100 calories
Milky Way 1 snack size bar = 90 calories
SweetTarts 1 treat size pkg. = 50 calories
1Tootsie Pop = 60 calories

I have seen Halloweeners out and about all week, but for me, the craziness starts tonight. With so much going on, it’s hard to decide what to go to and what to skip. Many friends are asking what we’re going to, what’s THE party to be at, how we are planning on covering it all, etc. So, here is my Thursday night party guide:
Go HERE for the full Halloween Party Guide.
- Lydia Hearst’s Masquerade Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! The RSVP list has been closed so I can now announce the venue. It will be at 1oak with an over the top pre party where MAC will be bringing dozens of makeup artists to help the VIP guests get ready at a loft in Tribeca. This will be the party to be at tonight, with the official after party at the Eldridge. Shannon Daugherty is confirmed, along with several others. We will be there every step of the way.
- Rose Bar’s Art Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Nur Khan and Stella Schnabel will be presenting Rose Bar’s latest works of art. There will be special DJ’s and a top guest list. Unrelated to Halloween, this is another party to see and be seen mingling at.
- Radar Magazine’s Vampires & Victims Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! With the collapse of RADAR Magazine last friday, this will be one of the most talked about parties of the night. It’s at the newly opened Citrine and will be sure to be full of hip media types. Chris and Max will be covering this for us.

What’s a Halloween party without Roberto Cavalli surrounded by models, socialites in angel costumes, and reality tv stars dressed as hookers? Cipriani knows what’s up, and last years’ Halloween bash on 42nd street was one of the top parties of the night on Halloween. Cip’s seems to be taking it easy this year, but who will take fill the void for all of these red carpet walkers?

Halloween is a chance for all of NYC socialites to show the world their creative sides. And, with the top makeup artists, stylists, and designers at their fingertips, they better come up with something good….or not even bother stepping out of the house! Last year, V Magazine hosted it’s Halloween party at Rose Bar, and caught several socials in their creative concoctions. It was, along with the Sagatiba Cachaca party at The Box, one of THE parties to be spotted at on Halloween night. So, who was brave enough to weather the PMc photogs? I’m deeming Douglas Friedman’s “California Roll” costume (first photo above), my favorite yet. Talk about getting into a theme…all of the guests at Allison Sarofim’s “Evening of Anime” party last Saturday were dressed the part. From the Hello Kitty pouf seat by Carlos Mota, to the homeade detailed costume of the hostess, to the decorations which were meant to be “the love child of Takashi Murakami and Jeff Koons”, no detail was left out. Thankfully, Derek Blasberg was there to give us the Scoop. [Style.com]
