Francesco Civetta aka the “old” Izzy Gold has made his way back into our hearts after a long holiday in Italy. The funniest thing about this is that PMc labels the photo above (taken at Ben Watts Big Up! party last night) as “Izzy Gold” not “Francesco Civetta” yet they label Chris Young as Izzy Gold when he goes out as well. Are we just going to accept that there are now two Izzy’s?? The old one (Fran) and the new mohawked one that throws out cash in Times Square (Chris)? Who do you guys want to be Izzy ??? Maybe Patrick McMullan can make the decision for all of us and just pick one???

Lovely Leven may have physically left us for a bit to go do her thing out West, but she would could never forget about us completely. And so, she has provided a little teaser for the lovable LOLA crew:
Sooo, I know most people looking for an up-beat, popalicious, cheesily enjoyable summer anthem have been jamming to:
A.) ”Burnin’ Up”- by the Brothers Jonai. I am personally hating to love this adorable threesome.
B.) The ubiquitous, female empowerment jam by Katy Perry, “I Kissed a Girl” , that gets heads thumping and momentary lesbians excited.
C.) You’ve been unwillingly hypnotized by the raunchy hilarity of Lil’ Waynes latest venture into the Christian-Folk genre, with his catchy song, “Pussy, Money, Weed.”
UPDATE: Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble, but we just got new confirmation from the horse’s mouth that Gossip Girl will NOT be filming at Goldbar. The film crew was actually part of a feature film. Apparently GG asked to film there but Goldbar turned them down.
OMFG! Gossip Girl is shooting at my favorite neighborhood spot, “Goldbar“. First we heard this:
A Little Birdy reports from Nolita “They are shooting a movie or tv show inside Goldbar - lots of trucks and help wandering around. Looks like a semi serious production. The Little Italy Euro tourists are loving that shit though.“[DBTH]
And then, after asking around, confirmed that there will most definitely be scenes in the upcoming season of Gossip Girl from inside Goldbar….a favorite of the actors in real life! How many days do we have until the season premiere? It’s the only thing I have to look forward to summer being over. I wonder if they talked one of the Izzy Golds into making a cameo??

While Gossip Girl co-stars Chace Crawford, Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were celebrating the opening of Bridgehampton Polo and Chace Crawford’s birthday in the Hamptons this past Saturday, Ed Westwick stayed behind to relax, sun and take in his first summer in NYC. I had been out east for most of the weekend, but had to skip Chace Crawford’s birthday to return to the city. From what I’ve heard, I missed a good party, but like I always say, there’ll always be another one.
Instead, I had something much more exciting on my calendar for Sunday morning, a photo shoot for a feature in Page Six Magazine’s Fall Fashion issue. Wait, it gets better. The shoot was an exclusive with Ed Westwick!

And so went our night last night. It seems to us that New York is all about money, making it, having it and keeping it. We certainly saw our share spread around last night.
We began our night at the opening of Delicatessen sponsored by Interview Magazine featuring a Polaroid photo exhibit by Terry Richardson. We were invited by our good friend Susan Kilkenny, who just started at Interview, but couldn”t find her through the crowd.

Welcome to “The Wei” where Stephanie Wei gives it to us straight. Today, Stephanie takes us to a silent rave via Downtown TV. I have a hard time at clubs and the thought of a rave scares me to death…a silent one though? I may be able to swing. Pay attention to the blond girl behind Steph in the opening scene…classic.

This week has served as a great reminder to us all on what happens when there’s slow news days (particularly common during the summer months). Stories about absolutely nothing infiltrate our computers, and we, trained to be on this continual search for the next big thing, get sucked into digesting them. It’s like highschool yes, but worse. Because we SHOULD know better, right?
Sadly, I’m not one to talk as I myself wrangled in some of the madness yesterday Though I defend myself on grounds that it was more of a sociology experiment, one with discouraging results I might add. Our hamptons site may be full of “nothing interesting” as some insist, yet staring at a cool car or house of the day is 100 times better than this.

The Fat Cat is the coolest place for billiards in Manhattan. However, a distaste for perhaps the classiest game designed for socializing (slow paced, minimal physical exertion required) is no excuse to deprive yourself of this West Village mainstay. For the brainier types, there’s scrabble or chess and a drink on the new sleek red couches that contrast the shabby chic mode of the rest of the place. Live music every night, $3 cover.
Honestly, I had heard tidbits about Mr. Chow’s, but never knew the full gravity of its reputation. I had passed by the unassuming storefront on my daily bus ride to and from work, assuming that Mr. Chow’s was the Chinese analog to Sushi of Gari. Last night I had my first Mr.Chow’s experience and it turns out that I was wrong. While Sushi of Gari is a simple space trading solely on superior food, Mr. Chow’s is a lavish, celeb-studded venue that, not completely unlike Gari, serves up unique dishes at high prices. Mr. Chow’s, however, is down right surreal.

The summer season’s barely begun, and already we’ve seen a slew of celebrations. As nothing ruins an ACRIA party like a misjudged Marc Jacobs, I decided to assemble a little tip sheet. Just what is the difference between a soirée and a gala, a benefit and a fundraiser? Read on to find out, and to find which will be getting the most usage….
