Thanks to Billy Crystal and an Academy comprised of old, humorless, white men, the Oscars was a night where the microphone feedback was far louder than the laughs. But have no fear, Twitter saved the day, boasting not only new accounts from Angelina Jolie's right leg and JLo's nipple, but a semi-offical #tweetroast by funnier comedians lambasting Tinseltown's favorite PR campaign. Here are some humorous highlights. More»

The most highly anticipated Red Carpet event of the year, the 84th Annual Academy Awards did not disappoint. From bold color to metallics, bright white and mint - the stars were dressed in some of the season's hottest trends. Below, my red carpet round up of what they wore: what I loved, what I hated and why.

After last year's James Franco high-as-a-kite fiasco, the Oscars decided to keep things especially PG this year with Billy Crystal,  Justin Bieber, Cirque du Soleil, and the theme of "At The Movies." But live TV spares no one, and even though the ceremony lagged (as per usual) and was severely disappointing in terms of Scorsese's Hugo sweeping the heap, there were some very awesome moments that need to be discussed. From Angelina Jolie's right leg, to J.Lo's nipple/non-nipple, and Bridesmaids taking shots, check out the very best of the Oscars 2012.

The four hour long lullaby known as The Academy Awards will be airing this Sunday, and if you're not pumped to see Billy Crystal try and save this sinking ship for the ninth time, then you agree with most Americans who view the whole thing as a yawn-inducing, if obligatory, formal event. But despite the Academy's ongoing effort to ensure that the show is as bland and inoffensive as a bowl of tapioca, things happen on live TV. Here's a list of the 11 wildest moments, from cross dressers to streakers, F-bombs to on-stage kisses, from Oscars past. More»

Billy Crystal will be hosting the Oscars for the 9th time on Sunday night, which is a big relief after the disaster that was the 2011 Oscars. 2011 co-hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco were selected in order to draw a younger audience to the show, but when they failed to make the evening any cooler or more fun than it had been in previous years, the Oscar committee looked to an old favorite to give the 2012 awards the boost it needs.

Billy committed to hosting this year's awards back in November, and confirmed the rumors on his twitter:

Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show

We're so excited to have Billy back on stage again this year, and after looking back at some of his best moments from the Oscars, we remember why. More»

As a recent study by the Los Angeles Times revealed, Oscar voters are mostly old, white men who probably vote for movies like The Artist because they can still remember the age of silent film.  As a result, there's a disconnect between what The Academy considers a "Best Picture" and the opinion of the general public, which tends toward funnier and sexier fare (see: Ryan Gosling).  Here's a list of films that got shafted. Seeing the Scorsese drinking game develop during this year's Golden Globes awards means there's no reason a new drinking game won't start during this weekend's Oscars (Drink every time there's a close up on Brad Pitt?). Now that funny guys Zach Galifinakis and Will Ferrell are added to the list of presenters, expect a "Between the Two Ferns Dialogue" juxtaposed with Frank the Tank and have your libation ready. This party might get more wild than the after parties you're not attending, so make sure you take advantage, commercials too. Here are some fun cocktails inspired by the various Best Picture nominees. More»

We've all heard by now that Billy Crystal will take over the Oscar hosting duties of Eddie Murphy, but we got to thinking - he's already hosted eight times, he's not getting any younger, and he's obviously the easy choice. If we had it our way, we would seriously reconsider the following hosts... More»

Each year, the anticipation for the Oscars is as much about who will win as what the stars will wear. And this year, the celebs did not disappoint. With runway trends decorating the red carpet (brights, minimalism, feathers…), the fashion from last night’s festivities deserves some awards of its own. Below, my picks for the top 10 best dressed of the 2011 Academy Awards: More»
