Looks like Mr. President Obama will in fact be able to use his blackberry in the White House! (Emily Brill you can relax now!)

Is there an event or party that these New Yorkers can’t get into? Apparently not, since while we were watching Tuesday’s festivities on our television they ditched NYC’s Inaugural soirees to hang out with the country’s favorite V.I.P.  Julia Allison kicked it with Malia and Sasha, Kristian Laliberte and Devorah Rose had front row seats for the big speech, while Emily Brill and our best friend DBTH left Park City in time to join the millions in D.C. Even our very own Stanley Stuyvesant wagged his tail all the way to Washington to give a big woof to our new Pres.

“Obama represents hope not just for America but for the world.” So said Rodolfo Sasa-Garcia, an economist from Mexico City in today’s article in the Times titled ‘Abroad, Many Hope for “New Chapter‘” “From Kenya to London, millions gathered around television screens in public squares, cafes and living rooms to watch Mr. Obama accept the mantle of American leadership, and with it, take on the hopes of a world battered by war and recession.”

A few familiar faces stepped out in Beverly Hills to celebrate President Obama on his big night at Guy’s Nightclub on Tuesday for an Inauguration party thrown by Svedka Vodka. Guests including Aisha Tylor, Brooke Burns, Chris Evans, Lindsay Price, Dave Annable, Eric Balfour, Daisy Fuenes, and Sanaa Lathan mingled with Obama fans and a few scantily clad Fembots. We wonder if any of the night’s party goers sipped Svedka’s new $700 Billion Martini, their presidential cocktail for our economy on the rocks…Seriously.

“We ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around, when yellow will be mellow, when the red man can get ahead, man, and when white will embrace what is right.”

Ha, I thought this was cute…

Washington D.C. is certainly the place to be today, as an estimated 2 million people have come out to show support at the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Last night, the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network hosted a Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball at the Harman Center For The Arts. Guests included Russell Simmons, LL Cool J, Young Jeezy, T.I., MC Lyte, BowWow, Nick Cannon, and Don King. The evening included drinks, dancing, and performances by some of hip-hop’s biggest stars, as guests came out to celebrate a night of great music alongside the swearing-in of a new president.

In case you missed it:

President Obama’s Inaugural Address

“My fellow citizens

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.
