Here’s a look at Tiger Woods yesterday at Bethpage Black in “Round” One of the U.S. Open aka “Woodstock for golfers” or “The Great Flood.”

After only three hours, the monsoon heavy rain flooded Bethpage and play was suspended.

The pictures I took (below) say it all. I don’t have to tell you that it was painful and conditions were impossible. You’ve either heard it or caught the highlights on Sportscenter already. Better yet, you’re following Ian Poulter on Twitter and got the play-by-play from him. More»

Checking in with Weiunderpar’s Stephanie Wei: My timing (for once) was perfect on Tuesday. I showed up at Bethpage around 9:00. I got there right as Tiger Woods was hitting his second shot from the 18th fairway to the green. The ball took a few hops and then hit the flagstick. OMG!!! Well, not really. In case you haven’t heard, the U.S. Open is at Bethpage Black in Farmingdale, New York this week. The tourney is the second of four major championships in golf. The festivities began today with practice rounds. I ventured out to Long Island to take a gander at the course and the field. (No, I didn’t see Tiger.) The NCAA Tournament has officially started-with 3 games down no less. But, we still have 13 games to go, today alone!
