In a bid to subject every corner of the metro area to the harsh glare of reality TV, "a prominent cable network" will dispatch its schlubby cameramen to Long Island. If you are a "Strong Island" "It Girl", submit your application! Which part of the potato field will be disgraced? Not the Hamptons! More»

You probably won't be hearing many comparisons between Jersey Shore and Mad Men. But here's one: both are shows that everyone seems to be talking about despite no one actually watching. More»

Decked out in outfits definitely not appropriate for a high school prom (I'm sure the chaperone would have been having a fit over the length and the tightness of some of those numbers), the cast of the CW's 90210 celebrated their season's wrap party at the at the Coco de Ville in Hollywood this past Saturday. tinsley mortimer on gossip girlFrom: hamptons.guestofaguest.com

Tinsley Mortimer has landed herself a cameo on Gossip Girl. They are currently out east filming for the fall and were recently shooting a scene with all the cast members dressed in white. Were they perhaps going to Diddy's annual white party? Hopefully we'll be able to score more of the scoop this afternoon at the Golf Tournament in West Hampton where the cast members are supposedly going to.

Once America's Next Top Model finally graced our fair metropolis with Tyra Bank's over-the-top, queen-of-the-universe, oh-no-she-DIDN'T presence, did any New Yorkers actually notice? Well, the landlord that gave the aspiring anorexic clothing hangers models his $6 million a month TriBeCa loft sure as hell did. Page Six reports today that Michael Marvisi, the landlord who lent out his apartment for the show, is accusing these vampy stick figures in stilettos of trashing his 4,200-square-foot digs and estimates the damage to be $500,000. This includes irreparably damaging a $15,000 chandelier and apparently splashing so much water around the bathroom that it appeared a Sea World dolphin show had taken place. Apparently the place was so wrecked that the next incoming tenant couldn't move in and backed out of the lease, so the show offered to pay $125,000 (isn't that only a fraction of the estimated damages?) However, they haven't ponied up the money yet and Tyra's reps aren't talking, so a lawsuit is waiting in the wings.

Anybody else catch Leven Rambin in last night's Lipstick Jungle? I taped it and, though a little out of it while watching late last night, will have to say that #1 the show isn't entirely shit (I had never seen an episode before) and #2 Leven wasn't a horrible actress, (this being the first time I've seen her on screen as well). It really is too bad that popular Julia Allison's Bday fell on the very same day that Leven made her debut on primetime TV....for it meant that her very own sister couldn't even watch it as she had best friend commitments at Julia's party. Thank god for DVR huh? Anyway, from the picture above, it's apparent that Julia got to celebrate her day with all things PINK. Really, whoever the PR team is for this vodka line should get some props...those cups have been showing up all over the place lately.

gossip men

I needed no further evidence of the gay man's love of Gossip Girl.  Every single diva I know in the tri-state area was MIA on Wednesday night's when a new episode was on.  Savvy PR agents across the globe wouldn't dare schedule a fashion launch party on a GG night....the gays being their most coveted clientèle.  In case you needed more proof, Out Magazine did an entire photo shoot with the three leading male actors from the show, and spelled it out in the article exactly what it is about Chuck, Nate, and Dan that gets them revved up claiming that "like anorexia, abbreviating words, and American Idol, Gossip Girl is a cultural phenomenon whose early adopters weren’t actually teenage girls but rather gay men trapped in arrested development or seeking to vicariously prolong their youth -- depending on how you choose to stereotype."

Rolling Stone Leven Rambin

Gregory Littley, nightlife blogger and wanderer recently attended the opening of the "blue & cream" store on Bowery (you know the one with Izzy Gold), got his picture taken by "some dude", and then all of a sudden shows up in a completely unrelated Footlocker ad in RollingStone.

Yes, random, we know. I guess this is what happens when you roll with Leven Rambin, the 17 year old party animal that has her Birthday parties planned by "adopted big sis" Julia Allison at Tenjune, and bebops around town with Lydia Hearst-Shaw.

Besides being Lydia's bff, Leven is known for her work on "All My Children". She plays both the Autistic daughter Lily Montgomery as well as her older half-sister Ava Benton. She was the only cast member who was nominated for an Emmy this year, (though had a rough time when she found out she didn't win). In real life, Leven is originally from Houston and was the granddaughter of J. Howard Rambin (former president and C.E.O. of Texaco). She is also currently working as a Ford model. We have been seeing her all over the place this fall and expect to see much more of her. At only 17 she has a good 3 more years left before rehab plans will be in the works.
