The Life of JoyWave
Prior to the unleashing of Kanye’s newest debut album The Life of Pablo, indie rock band Joywave released an album Swish with artwork that has a strong likeness to West’s creation. But the underlying plot twist of Joywave’s ability to release an album almost a month before Kanye’s raises many eyebrows. With what could be described as an unintentional attempt at plagiarism, this act by Kanye and his team is something that can be considered extremely questionable. While not confirmed, or necessarily acknowledged, by Ye at least, it’s hard to imagine that Kanye was truly unaware of the album artwork's similarity of his soon to follow release. Joywave, however, has been especially vocal about it on social media.
