Jamie Foxx, Best Actor, Ray (2004)

In 2005, Jamie Foxx became the first black actor to be nominated in two acting categories in the same year. He took home the Best Actor Oscar statue for his riveting performance of Ray Charles in the biopic Ray. With the crowd on its feet, Foxx repeated, “Wow, wow, wow,” before leading the audience in a short Ray Charles-inspired sing-along.
