Johnny Weir is fashion on ice. The three-time U.S. champion figure skater gained attention not only through quick spins, triple jumps and amazing technical skill, but also the glamorous outfits he wore to compete in the Olympic Games in Vancouver. So really, it's no surprise that he's rocking this Fashion Week.-
For Elise Øverland's fall '11 presentation, Johnny took the ice at The Standard in a flurry of glitter, makeup, reflective gold, and fur.
He performed looking like the chicest Black Swan ever to take flight on a runway of ice.
Johnny also walked in Richie Rich's Villionaire show, donning a mini Tarzan number and head to toe body glitter.
Johnny and the designer have been good friends. Here they are at Johnny's B-Day party last year.
Third times the charm right? Johnny strutted his "machismo walk" in Asher Levine's show.

Johnny wore a hat he made himself. He told WSJ:
"I also made this beautiful hat, inspired by, kind of by my own hair – I have a mullet, and I own it and love it – it’s a Russian-style hat but there’s an extra flap that goes down the back to keep your neck warm. And a leg warmer, to put over boots or jeans, and this incredible neckwarmer."
Aside from walking in the shows, he has been watching. He attended the Isaac Mizrahi presentation, Heart Truth, Marc Bouwer 3-D, Tadashi Shoji and Alice+Olivia.
He also hit Chris Benz in an outfit he dug out of the designers studio. "I'm in his studio all the time, tearing through his archives, and I found this," Weir told The Cut. "I'm in, like, a complete woman's outfit right now and I love it."
And of course, no one can forget his fashion spreads in WWD and Blackbook. Killer heels.
Here's a video of him "in the closet inside my closet." Some of the juiciest quotes include:
"I would buy anything as long as it had an LV on it. I would even buy bread"
"Also in this room I have a lovely fur tree"
"I wanna be the next Kate Moss"
"I am constantly walking like Bambi"
"I've taken you deep inside my closet and shown you mine. Now show me yours!"
Only Johnny could make Lady Gaga look unoriginal. Here he is inside a Faberge egg for a promo shot for his reality show on Sundance, Be Good Johnny Weir.
Johnny co-designs his own skating outfits with costume designer Stephanie Handler. He's been talking of starting his own line for over a year, so you could have your own glittery skating dress sometimes soon.
With a single, a book, and a whole lot of time spent on being fabulous, Johnny still manages to train extensively for the Olympics. Style and talent.
