The Agora Gallery (530 West 25th Street, Chelsea, New York, NY, 10001) is proud to announce the opening of Ruth Gilmore Langs: Paint, a solo exhibition. Scheduled to run from November 20, 2009 through March 19, 2010, the collection will feature a captivating selection of Ruth’s new works.
Ruth Gilmore Langs approaches painting with an inner passion that becomes evident when one allows oneself to venture beyond the surface of the canvas. Once inside the painting, you are swept away by the magic of abstract expressionism in the hands of a truly gifted painter, a lover of nature, and a soul mate of other gifted painters such as; Diebenkorn, Hofman and Joan Mitchell. The journey through her work will enable you to experience the rhythm that is so essential to fully grasp her strength and vision as well as her passion. Ruth’s intuitive sense of color and composition is her natural state of being, it is her mind set, as is her ability to capture the landscape with the freedom of a child rolling down the hillside only to change direction by dashing up again to meet a clear blue sky. Here is where you find the magic, in the realization that when you truly allow the work to capture your imagination, you allow yourself the vulnerability of a child and dare to dance among the lush colors of innocence and thus surrender to the transformative nature of ‘Paint’.

We met Kelly Bensimon last summer, when she wasn’t yet a “Real Housewife of New York” but just a mom, hanging out in the Hamptons with our friends at Plum TV (whom she did “Behind the Hedges With Kelly Killoren Bensimon” with). Since then, she has won over hearts on the show. Friends like Dan Honan describe Kelly as “sporty and adventurous” (indeed on Plum’s show they had her drive race cars, play Polo, and swimming with sharks off the coast of Montauk!) But at the heart of Kelly’s character is the desire to continually broaden her horizons.

The Bridgehampton Polo pic . . . is that the fiance she beat up and when the police arrested and they mistook her for a man? She thought that girl’s arthritis was “cute” last night! Please someone tell her to take better care of her skin. It’s hard to look at. HD is not her friend. And I read skin cancer every time I look at her! She has young children, start using the SPF ASAP!

Bethanny has issues and she needs to deal with them on her time or go to a professional and stop HATING! on Kelly. OK she supposely made a pass at her one time boyfriend how long was that move on life is to short. I like Kellie she’s very blunt didn’t like the IDIOTIC comment she said to Jill’s daughter that her having arthritis was ‘cute’. I didn’t think that was ‘cute’. Anyhow all of the Housewives have their issues with one another they’re typical WOMEN!! Love the show and YOU GO KELLIE!!

I think Bethanny is funny and doesn’t take herself too seriously. Kelly is soooo annoying and not funny at all. I mean, man legs, man arms and man face - hello. She is so obsessed with getting her ultra tan ultra toned legs into every shot by wearing shorts 24-7. I also think she is the opposite of “down to earth” - she is a phoney name dropper type. And by the way, she is a single dried up too tan raisin.

Anyone who gives Kelly positive reviews is a poser, and I do not respect. As drastic as this sounds, people like Kelly are shameful for mankind.. even including a true well-respected socialites that actually exist. Bethanny to be included in the cluster of good. Page Six can do better than Kelly (have you read her 6th grade level column?) and quite frankly, it’s a shame to Bravo for having people like her take up their valuable air-time.

oh my, I am shocked that any one would think this horse face looks good, leather skin, huge teeth, fake smile, and mean disposition. She really is a smag self-important nobody. Her x-husband is fabulous and she is really weak for divorcing him, hum, maybe he divorced her. She sucks, I cannot stand her, I on the other hand love Bethanney, who is far more down to earth and funny.

“Hey…hi…hey.” How can anyone stand that squeakishly annoying voice of Kelly’s. Is she speaking at a level that only children under the age of five can comprehend? Her condescending demeanor and maniac smile are enough to scare away most men (that’s why she’s a cougar and goes for guys that can barely speak English). She obviously does not know what it means to have people skills as her throwdown with Bethany was about as successful as a playground comeback. Kelly, take a lesson from Bethany and learn to chill out because obviously nobody thinks you are as important as you imagine yourself to be. Oh, and props on stealing your “awesome” jewelry line. I could have found something just as cheap at the local Forever 21 for more than half the price.

“she has won over hearts on the show,” are you kidding? This woman is the most bi-polar ever cast! The only reason why she agreed to be a part of the production is due to the fact that she’s a megalomaniac! I can’t stand this woman. Let her live in her own world of the upper east side, maybe she’ll be able to find her original face (prior to too many injections of Botox and Juvaderm) and her lost breast… then again, she may need to look in the Financial District as her breast has clearly gone south.
