Daily Style Phile: Whit Stillman, "Urban Haute Bourgeoisie"

by Daniel Reynolds · February 27, 2012

Whit Stillman, director of such prep classics as Metropolitan and The Last Days of Disco, is releasing his latest film, Damsels In Distress, this April in New York and Los Angeles.  We can't wait!

Renowned for critiquing the "urban haute bourgeoisie" of New York's WASPish elite, Whit is also incredibly faithful to the depiction of the upper class' behaviors and fashions. And he brought us Chloe Sevigny. In celebration of his film's imminent release, we take a close look of the man and the oeuvre.
