Last night Johan Lindeberg, the Swedish denim magnate, had his BLK DNM Film Launch. The film explores the designer at his most vulnerable: a tumultuous point in his love life. But all of this emotional excavation is in the the name of grunge fashion. Find out from the photo evidence how to keep denim gritty.
The launch of Martin de Thurah's film is inspired from Lindeberg's recent break-up. Thurah has made oneiric music videos for Fever Ray and James Blake and found inspiration for this project in New York's downtown edginess, which the clothing brand channels. Actors Iva Gocheva, Bogdan Kwiatkowski, and Kate Lyn Shell are outfitted in lambskin motorcycle leather jackets--sort of Augusten Burroughs meets Amelia Earhart.
