On December 1st national education reform organization, Blue Engine, celebrated a year of success at Double Seven in NYC. Blue Engine aims to close the gap between what it means to be college eligible and college ready in effort to tackle the college completion problem.
With the placement of hands on tutors, BETAs (Blue Engine Teacher’s Assistants) in low income schools’ classrooms, students receive personal attention to truly equip them with the tools they need to succeed in college.
Founder, Nick Ehrmann, along with Board Members including Andy Dunn and Andy Rafal, hosted a private cocktail event to raise awareness about this incredible organization and share the results from the first year. Co-hosting the celebration was Associate Director of Michael J. Fox foundation, Claire Meunier, Birchbox co-founder Katia Beauchamp, Rent the Runway co-founder Jenn Hyman, Vice President of Corporate Access & Events at Guggenheim Securities, Lauren Grafer, and others came out to lend support.
