Various luminaries, including Mad Men's Bryan Batt, playwright Edward Albee, singer Ari Gold, turned out Sunday night to support GLAAD in their eighth annual GLAAD OUTAuction NYC at the Metropolitan Pavilion.-
Artist Ross Bleckner was presented with the first Out in Art Award in honor of his work raising the visibility of LGBT people in the art world. The silent auction featured work by emerging artists as selected by an Arts Advisory Committee, while the live auction featured works by Joan Miro, Wassily Kandinsky, Stephen Klein and Herb Ritts.
The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) is dedicated to promoting and ensuring fair, accurate and inclusive representation of people and events in the media as a means of eliminating homophobia and discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation.
