In the Meatpacking district yesterday, What2WearWhere.com and Riverkeeper celebrated Project Green Chic. Kick Kennedy and Karen Klopp played hostess' to the event, which was held at Calypso St. Barth boutique. -
Project Green Chic is where fashion meets environmentally friendly. This month, the launch of the What2WearWhere blog coincides with Earth Day. Therefore, the site is donating 50% of the retail sales from the site to Riverkeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance. In addition, the blog will feature designers and brands that exercise Earth-friendly practices.
At yesterday's event, guests were able to browse the store and shop. Paul Johnson Calderon checked out the cotton t-shirts, and other attendees admired the jewelry. Calypso St. Barth donated 10% of of the purchases made at the event to Riverkeeper and Waterkeeper Alliance.
Not only was the event celebrating the green conscious efforts of What2WearWhere.com and Riverkeeper, but also Kick Kennedy was named Fashionably Conscious Fashion Editor of W2WW. Kick was honored with a beautiful cake covered in frosting flowers.
