The Coney Island Mermaid Parade
The annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade is a family event held to celebrate the beginning of summer. It's filled with tons of creative costumes of mermaids and sea creatures and is ideal for children's birthday celebrations. The event usually takes place on the Saturday closest to the beginning of summer.
Each year the parade features a merman and mermaid King and Queen.
