Paris’ Galeries Lafayette is any shopper’s dream. With 10 stories of shopping, there’s almost nothing you can’t find at this department store, which first opened its’ doors in 1895. But even more impressive than the 10 floors of merchandise is the store’s architecture. Elegant wrought iron balconies encircle the store and highlight a stained-glass dome that serves as the store’s centerpiece. As spectacular as Galeries Lafayette is, the store’s Dubai location is really over-the-top.
Dubai certainly has a reputation for displays of excess, but inside Dubai’s Galeries Lafeytte lies the ultimate indulgence: an ATM machine that dispenses gold nuggets.
