1. Hedi Slimane changes name of Yves Saint Laurent to "Saint Laurent Paris." After being formally announced as the official creative director of YSL, Slimane has decided to make some serious changes. The first-- changing the name of YSL. Slimane thinks that getting rid of the founder's name, "Yves," will help them re-brand in to something more modern. Slimane wants to re-focus on the original impulses that inspired the founder's Saint Laurent Rive Gauche ready-to-wear line in 1966. Though the name has changed, the YSL logo will still be around. [
