Breaking news for fashionistas and fans of Calvin Klein's minimalist chic vibes. Women's and men's creative directors Francisco Costa and Italo Zucchelli are officially out. The announcement came with a statement by CEO Steve Shiffman, who said, “I would like to thank Francisco and Italo for their unwavering commitment to the Calvin Klein brand and their accomplishments over the past decade. They have both contributed immensely to making Calvin Klein a global leader in the fashion industry, and they have done so with dedication, focus and creativity.
According to the brand, Calvin Klein will take a new direction with plans to unify the "creative vision" of CK across all categories of the business. Guess Costa and Zucchelli were too disconnected here? Of course, the rumor mill has already started regarding their replacement and the name that keeps popping up is none other than Raf Simmons. After leaving womenswear at Christian Dior in October 2015, the design genius has been a free agent. Here's hoping he's able to insert some of his signature frills into this streamlined label.
