Brigitte Bardot

Brigitte Bardot
The buxom blond, Brigitte Bardot, is perhaps the most iconic actress from the French New Wave. The Parisian sex symbol aspired to become a ballerina before she began acting. No stranger to controversy, Bardot is most famous for starring in And God Created Woman (1957) and Jean-Luc Godard's Contempt (1963). She is probably most remembered for her voluminous blond hair than for her fashion, but she sported many stylish trends from the 1960s, including primary colors, stripes, and polka dots. Bardot has inspired many current fashion icons like Beyonce. [Photos via, via]
