Due to the hipster-healthy eating (and 'gramming) habits of everyone from Brooklyn to Australia, we have no doubt that a shortage of our favorite fatty fruit is imminent. Especially when people start doing shit like this.
The Avocado Latte, or "Avolatte" if you are a true douche, came into this world innocuously enough, just a quiet little video on one cafe's Instagram account, wherein some silly barista produced a latte within the skin of a hollowed-out avocado as some sort of a joke.
What happened next will shock you. (Or, not really, since everybody knows millennials prefer avocados over shelter.)
The video went viral and customers at the Aussie coffee shop, Truman Cafe, actually started asking for them. Yes, paying for a beverage that is served in what is essentially plant garbage. Sure, the concept is kind of environmentally woke, but we wouldn't trust such a flimsy container, even near our hungover, Sunday brunch garb.
Can't we just keep the good things on toast, people?
