“The Playground” Your Guide For What To Do Tonight…

Young Innovative Awards Cocktail Reception for Andrea Tese
Where: The National Arts Club
Why: This is you chance to step foot into the National Arts Club, a club that has had three presidents as members and pretty much every important American arts patron, admitted women from its inception, and is located at the historic Tilden Mansion.
When: 7pm - 9pm

Opening Night Gala at American Ballet Theatre
Where:  Metropolitan Opera House, Lincoln Center
Why: As if a performance by legendary jazz pianist Herbie Hancock isn’t enough, First Lady and honorary co-chair, Michelle Obama will be in attendance to help kick the ABT’s eight-week season. Gala tickets range from $1,500 to $2,500; Performance only tickets are priced between $30 to $150
When: 6:30pm - 10:00pm

92nd St. Y Spring Gala
Where: 92nd St. Y at Lexington Ave
Why: This ain’t your parents’ Y. The 92nd St. Y is probably one the the best places to catch a discussion with your favorite author, musician, or actor. Past panels have featured Mos Def and Anna Wintour. The black-tie gala will be a throwback, featuring Dominic Chianese from The Sopranos, Lesely Gore from The Supremes, and WNBC’s Jane Hanson. Tickets in excess of $125 are tax deductible.
When: 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Winemaker’s Dinner: Robert Foley Vineyards
Where: 21Club
Why: The first of the 21 Club’s Winemaker’s Dinner spring showcase, guests will enjoy a complete five-course meal, each paired with a wine from Robert Foley’s Vineyard. Eat, drink, and be merry. Reservations are a must, and tickets cost $150 per person.
When: 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Cocktail Pizza Fundraiser Celebrating Gina DePalma
Where: Co.
Why: Forget that the event is hosted by chef Mario Batali, partner Joe Bastianich, and Sullivan Street Bakery and Co.’s Jim Lahey, and forget all about the amazing food that will be consumed. The event benefits The Cowgirl Cure Foundation for ovarian cancer research at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Tickets are $250 or just make a donation to the Cowgirl Cure Foundation.
