The Elegant Setting (31 Main Street, Southampton, NY [631] 283-4747 www.theelegantsetting.com) hosts a trunk show featuring Adam Miller from Waverly & Irving (www.waverlyandirving.com) on Saturday, July 24th. Waverly and Irving is a Brooklyn based company turning antique and vintage glassware, tins and pewter into stunning handmade candles. Offering a unique eco-friendly alternative to the run of the mill container candles, Waverly and Irving sources antique and vintage containers during regular cross-country road trips and fills the vessels with hand-poured slow-burning soy wax with cotton based wicks and classic scents. Each piece is in recycled glassware with containers ranging from classic pink, blue and green Depression glass, carnival glass of the early 20th century, milk glass and glass of the 40s, 50s and 60s. Waverly and Irving also features a line of vintage and antique tin cans including tobacco, honey, coffee, oil and candy. The rarities line of candles features art glass and specialty glass such as Fenton, Westmoreland and large format vessels. All burn times are based on circumference and vessel capacity but range from 24 - 100 hours. Candle scents include: Bergamont, Green Tea, Linen and Hydrangea.
