Kicking off what will soon become a classic Hamptons tradition, Southampton Inn is celebrating summer with a two-day getaway for the true gentleman— Steer, Scotch, Sticks & Stogies.
Upon checking in, guests (of course, women are also welcome!) will be treated to a reception of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the Southampton Inn’s outside courtyard, followed by an indulgent five-course steak-scotch pairing dinner. Executive Chef Bryan Naylor of Southampton Inn’s OSO Restaurant has crafted an original, decadently-delicious dinner — accented with Macari Vineyard wines — that will be sure to impress even the most sophisticated of palates.
Fine hand-rolled cigars from Southampton’s Besims, Dalmore’s finest and most mature Scotch, The 50, and an overnight stay at the Inn will provide a perfect end to the evening. The next morning, golf aficionados will travel via Southampton Inn transportation to the renowned Robert Trent Jones’ Long Island National Golf Club for round with driving range privileges and cart.
Richard Plutzer of the Dalmore feels this event will start a tradition. “We think the Southampton Inn is going to strike a deep chord with men who want to enjoy the timeless traditions valued by their fathers and grandfathers in a modern way. Steer, Scotch, Sticks & Stogies is an event that references tradition but doesn’t take itself too seriously.”
