Laura Fayer’s mixed media paintings delve into the Japanese concept of wabi-sabi — the basic tenet of the Japanese sensibility that reflects a world that is transient and incomplete. They quietly evoke nature’s evanescence. “I rely on visual memories of childhood years living in Japan” says Fayer. “The memories are vast and fluid.”
